Like all cats, Lily has a personality bigger than the planet. She is a graceful, proud creature who often leaves us mesmerized by her intelligence and mischief! She has always been an incredibly important member of our family, and she certainly acts like it.
As cheeky as she is caring, Lily inspired us to start this project. We are always looking for excuses to spoil her and wish for more product selection for cats (dogs seem to be having all the fun!) so we decided to dedicate our time into understanding Lily’s needs; what makes her comfortable, what keeps her out of mischief, and above all, what makes her happy. Before we knew it, we had embarked on a journey to design the absolute best, most exciting cat products in the world.
The Kittyrama journey
Has the journey been easy? Absolutely not. But the results have been too good to keep to ourselves. Our Kittyrama collars, for example, meant that we received the first ever ‘Cat Friendly Award’ for a cat collar, from International Cat Care, which is the leading global cat welfare charity. We were on a mission to make sure that cats like Lily were safe, comfortable and stylish, all at the same time.
In the two years that we’ve spent designing, testing and tweaking our products, we’ve seen amazing countries, we’ve worked with people around the world and we’ve worn many hats that took us completely out of our comfort zone. We’ve had highs, lows, multiple prototypes, various testing techniques and made constant improvements. It has been a lot of work. Lily has become a critic, model and a big sister in the meantime (teaching our toddler how to chew on socks and walk on tables). We have needed and received lots of encouragement and help from family and friends, and our journey continues. We’re continuously thinking of new ideas to help make cats’ lives better (living a furrytale!) and we have exciting product development in the background. Join our mailing list to stay tuned.
